Start a Run in Tramola
Learn how to add your first scenario to Tramola and run it.
Create a scenario
In Tramola, click on “Scenarios” in the left navigation bar. Then, click on “Add Scenario…”.
You can now define the name of your new scenario, add a description and set the coordinate reference system to be used for your scenario.
If you already have a scenario prepared outside Tramola, you can select “Empty Scenario” and add your scenario files later. Otherwise, you can select one of the provided example scenarios.
If your own scenario does not reflect a real region but is made up (like the Equil scenario is), use EPSG:3857, WGS 84 / Pseudo-Mercator
as coordinate system. This corresponds the best to the Atlantis
coordinate system used in MATSim.
Click on Create Scenario
to create the scenario.
Add Scenario Files
If you have chosen a scenario template, the necessary files will be automatically downloaded and added to your scenario upon the scenario creation.
If you started with an empty scenario, click on Upload Files
and add all the files that make up your scenario. You need at least:
- a config file
- a network file
- a population file
Note that the config must use the config_v2.dtd
, v1 is currently not supported.
Edit the Scenario
See Scenario Editor on information how to edit a scenario.
Edit the Configuration
See Config Editor on information how to edit the config.xml
of MATSim.
Running the scenario
Click on Start a Run
when you are ready for running your scenario the first time. You are presented an overview of what files will be used, can optionally choose one or more Changesets if you have edited the scenario, and can perform other settings.
Make sure to use the proper MATSim version as Job Type
, and specify enough memory for your scenario.
Finally, click on Start Run
.
